I’m writing this with a heavy heart. Lexi Frook has recently been diagnosed with Renal Papillary Necrosis (RPN) after a long five years of seeing specialists in Duluth, Ashland, and now the Mayo Clinic. The future holds possible dialysis and a kidney transplant when her kidneys finally decide to stop working completely. The financial strain of the week-long hospital stays, countless doctor appointments, and every day expenses is becoming overwhelming. Her husband, Dave Frook, is carrying so much between working as a full time police officer and caring for her two boys and his own two boys, along with worrying about his wife’s health. Lexi and Dave have taken ownership of AO Studio (formerly Salon Soleil) within the past year, and while they have a team of stylists that make sure the business runs smoothly, there are still behind the scenes expenses that are necessary to keep the business running while being absent from the studio. We’re asking for help. Not because it’s easy to, but because right now, every bit of support matters. Donations will go toward her medical care, daily expenses, and making sure her children can have some stability during this troubling time. Together, we can help ease the burden for Lexi and give her the strength to focus on what matters most – her healing and her family. We will have a jar at AO Studio for cash donations, as well.
